More about Guayusa and Moringa Tea Infusion
This incredible infusion is created from the leaves of the Ilex guayusa tree, native to Amazon Forest grounds and frequently used by indigenous groups spread across the Ecuatorian province of Napo. Moringa olefeia, or simply Moringa, harvested from Ecuador as well, is added into the mix. This infusion is made purely with leaves from both described plants, meaning that no other substances or ingredients are added to the formula.
Guayusa is a caffeinated species, and can be a natural source of components that may enhance focus and cognitive energy. This sacred plant is also rich in theanine, theobromine, and polyphenal antioxidants. A part of the holly tree genus, this plant has been historically used by native communities across Ecuador, Colombia, and Peru in the making of teas, as well as for trading. Studies have proven Guayusa to be a natural stimulant, promoting lower rates of nervous, shaky behavior associated with excessive caffeine.
Moringa olefeia has been used and appreciated throughout history for its possible health benefits, being used as a natural medicine across different cultures and eras, and is nowadays the subject of medicinal studies that seek to evaluate its potential in therapeutic treatments. Rich in antioxidants, vitamins (A, B2, B6, C), Iron, Magnesium, and Proteins, all parts of this plant are consumed as herbal medicines. It may aid in controlling and lowering blood sugar levels, inflammation, and cholesterol.
