Inspired by the Majestic Hyacinth Macaw
In the Tupi language, “Arara” means macaw, and “Una” means black, giving rise to the name Araruna, which represents the stunning black macaw. The Hyacinth Macaw, known for its striking dark blue feathers that appear black from a distance, is not only the largest parrot in the world but also a symbol of beauty and grandeur. The artisan behind this kuripe carries the indigenous name Araruna, paying homage to this magnificent bird. Originating from the northeastern state of Maranhão, she crafts these exquisite pieces at her studio, Ararunart.
Handmade with Care and Attention to Detail
Every Kuripe – Ararunart is carefully handcrafted, making each piece unique. Due to its handmade nature, slight variations may occur from batch to batch, adding to the individuality and charm of the product.
Enhance your spiritual practices with the Kuripe – Ararunart, a tool that not only embodies traditional craftsmanship but also carries deep cultural and spiritual significance.
