Kuntanawa Rapé Container: Handcrafted Elegance from the Heart of the Amazon

A Beautiful Blend of Tradition and Craftsmanship

Introducing the Kuntanawa Rapé Container, a stunning, handcrafted bamboo container designed to preserve your sacred medicines with care and style. Created by the skilled artisans at the Tete Pawã arts and medicine studio, this container is more than just functional—it is a piece of art that reflects the rich cultural heritage of the Amazon.

Tribal Design and Handcrafted Quality

Each rapé container is meticulously crafted from bamboo, chosen for its natural strength and sustainability. The container is adorned with tribal design pyrography, adding an authentic touch of Amazonian culture. The screw top is beautifully finished with resin, featuring intricate designs that further enhance the container’s aesthetic appeal. Due to the natural variations in bamboo, the volume of each container may vary slightly, holding between half an ounce to one ounce of medicine.

Unique and Handcrafted

As a handcrafted product, each Kuntanawa Rapé Container is unique, with slight variations that add to its charm and individuality. The artisans at Tete Pawã put great care into each piece, ensuring that every container not only serves its purpose but also honors the traditions of the region.

From the Heart of the Amazon

This rapé container is made by the talented craftsmen at the Tete Pawã arts and medicine studio, located deep in the upper Juruá region of Marechal Thaumaturgo municipality, far up the Amazon River. This remote studio is accessible only by a two-day boat journey or a small four-seater airplane, making each piece they create even more special. Tete Pawã has been a trusted partner since 2014, consistently delivering state-of-the-art handicrafts and their renowned Kuntanawa Rapés.

A Connection to the Sacred Harpy

The name Tete Pawã is derived from the Harpy, the largest bird of prey in the region, revered as a sacred and majestic creature by the indigenous peoples. In the Huni Kuin myth, the Harpy is an enchanted being created by Yuxibu, the great spirit. This container not only serves as a practical storage solution but also as a connection to the spiritual and cultural significance of the Amazon.

Preserve Your Sacred Medicines with Elegance

The Kuntanawa Rapé Container is the perfect blend of functionality and cultural heritage, making it an ideal choice for those who value both the preservation of their sacred medicines and the beauty of Amazonian craftsmanship.
