Presenting Tsunu Extra Shamanic Snuff
Sacred Connection Tsunu Extra represents our potent blend, meticulously crafted with Tsunu ashes and robust Sabiá tobacco sourced from the town of Arapiraca in Northeast Brazil. This deep black corda (rope) tobacco is highly favored by top tribal Rapé crafters for its exceptional quality. Grown and naturally fermented, Sabiá tobacco is carefully processed into rolls, ensuring top-tier ingredients for our Rapé blends. To guarantee the finest quality, we meticulously filter our snuffs using a 100-micron sieve, preventing any respiratory tract obstruction.
Tsunu Rapé Snuff
The Tsunu ashes utilized in our blends are sourced from the Yawanawa tribe, residing in the Gregorio river tribal lands in the municipality of Tarauaca. These ashes are meticulously produced using an artisanal method, employing sustainably sourced wood. The Tsunu recipe crafted by the Yawanawa tribe is renowned for its simplicity and effectiveness, eschewing complex ingredient combinations in favor of high-quality tobacco and ashes. Our Tsunu blend is available in three varieties, each featuring different types of tobacco: native moi, medium-strength Arapiraca, and the robust Sabiá variety for those seeking a stronger experience.
Tsunu Ashes
While opinions may vary regarding the botanical source of original Tsunu ashes, some suggest it originates from the Pau Pereira tree (Platycyamus regnellii). In the region, various types of Pau Pereira trees exist, yielding ashes of differing characteristics, ranging from cream-colored to grayish-red. However, for the Yawanawa tribe, there is only one true type of Tsunu ash – the original variety. Revered as one of their most sacred trees, Pau Pereira symbolizes strength and resilience in Yawanawa culture, embodying the essence of force and vitality.”
