More about our Tsunu Native Shamanic Snuff
Sacred Connection Tsunu Native represents the mildest Variable among our Tsunu offerings, expertly crafted with Tsunu ashes and medium-strength natural moi mapacho tobacco, typical of the Acre state region. Our Tsunu ashes are sourced directly from our esteemed friends, the Yawanawa tribe, renowned masters of Tsunu utilization. While various local tree species are identified as Tsunu by the region’s inhabitants, the Yawanawa recognize only one true source.
Moi Mapacho
Our local Mapacho variety, known as Moi, boasts a delightful flavor profile and is cultivated without the use of pesticides in the upper Jurua region. Situated along the Jurua river, which runs parallel to the Peruvian border, this region encompasses the westernmost part of Brazil. Within the Jurua extractive reserve, traditional communities engage in sustainable practices such as rubber tapping and tobacco cultivation, embodying a harmonious relationship with the forest. The Moi tobacco, characterized by its gentle aroma and mild effects, is a rustic yet flavorful tobacco variety.
Moi Tobacco Sticks
Moi tobacco is traditionally fashioned into long sticks, each weighing approximately 1.5 kilograms and spanning over a meter in length. These sticks, larger than the Peruvian Mapacho maso, offer superior quality suitable for both Rapé snuff and smoking purposes. Originally, much of the region’s Rapé production relied on this locally sourced mapacho variety, prized for its authenticity and quality.”
