More About Guayusa Tropical Punch Tea Infusion
A blend infusion made with the leaves of Ilex guayusa, commonly used by the native peoples of the Napo province, golden berries and orange leafs.
Ilex guayusa, popularly known as simply Guayusa, is a plant that has been the protagonist of certain folk tales that compose the culture of native peoples across Central and South America, having become a synonym of enhanced focus and energy. Rich in theanine, theobromine, and polyphenal antioxidants, this plant promotes significantly lower increases in epinephrine (a hormone that triggers nervous, shaky behavior associated with excessive caffeine), which makes it a prime and natural stimulant with less possible side effects.
Golden berries are rich in phytosterols, a component that presents antioxidant properties, as well as linoleic and oleic acids, that help lower the cholesterol levels, especially bad cholesterol or LDL, in the bloodstream. They are rich in vitamin C, niacin, and fiber, helping with immunity strength, bone health, and improved eyesight. These fruits present a sweet, tropical taste, and are also known as Peruvina groundcherry, husk cherry, Inca berry, among other names.
