This elusive herb is believed to benefit the respiratory system and, according to traditional wisdom, aids in memory retention and mental fortitude. Crafted with meticulous care to achieve the perfect balance of ingredients, the leaves of Xacapandaré are burned as incense to purify spaces. Additionally, they are utilized in baths to cleanse the body and aura.

In their words, Xacapandaré, when used in rapé, serves to expand the mind, dispel negativity, banish malevolent spirits, and enhance respiratory function.

Chief Siã Huni Kuin, a revered figure in the Amazon rainforests of Acre, leads the Huni Kuin community with wisdom and reverence. His tribe, the Huni Kuin or Kaxinawá, stands as one of the largest indigenous groups in the region, comprising nearly 15,000 members across various territories.

Jordão, Chief Siã’s domain, lies deep within the heart of the forest, accessible only by small plane or a week-long boat journey. Here, nestled within the verdant expanse, the Huni Kuin thrive in their aldeias, or villages, preserving their ancient way of life amidst the modern world.
